Guitar Gear:
1972 Guild D-50.... it has always been mine.
2000 Martin JC16RGTE… my go to acoustic guitar
Electric: prefer Fender Telecasters...favorites are a '98 Paisley Reissue; 2007 Telecaster Deluxe w/ Rosewood fretboard; 1998 Creme White Tele w/ maple fretboard; 2016 Fender Jazzmaster w/ maple fretboard, soapbar pickups and strung with 11’s, 2014 Gretch White Falcon also strung w/ 11’s.
Amp Gear:
Favorites being a personally modified by me late 60's Fender Bassman head w/ 4x10 cabinet, 1960 Fender Super amp, 1970 Fender Princeton and a Fishman Loudbox.
In 2014 I purchased a new Gretsch White Falcon. It’s a very intimating guitar when you play it for the first time after playing Fender’s for so many years. The tone and richness is undeniable.
Pinky- Pink Paisley Telecaster
This is one of my favorite Telecasters. Light weight, nice neck and Fender Texas Special pickups. I also added the 4 way switch. Made in 1998, I purchased it the same year.
Japanese Guitars
Mom always encouraged me with music. Here is a shot of two guitars bought around Christmas 1966. Mom was always fair and brought one for my brother who never played it. Those two are long gone but I have since found another one, in red, that I have now in my collection.
Recording King Lap Steel Guitar Model D, made by the Gibson Guitar Company 1937 for Mongomery Ward. The pickup is very unusual in that it has a very large bar magnet similar to the Charlie Christian pickups. It has a very rich thick tone.
